The Zadie Project: Round Up Campaign

The Zadie Project: Round Up Campaign

I am the Founder and Board President of The Zadie Project. We had a board meeting last weekend and I am very excited about our plans for the next year!

What is The Zadie Project?

As part of our efforts to become an even more conscious company, along with my team, I brainstormed ways we could give back. Why not expand what we already did well - make soup - and get it to children, families and seniors who struggled to find healthy food options. So, in December 2016, Souper Jenny became the founding sponsor of The Zadie Project, a 501(c)3 created to feed hungry children, families and seniors in our own community.

I am constantly curious about our food supply. Environmental Working Group began testing for pesticides in crops in 1991 and distributes their findings annually. Since many of us don't know where our food comes from, I make daily efforts to make sure our restaurants serve the best possible options to you. Souper Jenny is committed to sourcing the Dirty Dozen from organic sources or pesticide free farms as often as possible. Here is the 2018 guide from the EWR for you to follow at home!
