The Souper Jenny Kindness Tour: An Introduction

ABOUT THE SOUPER JENNY KINDNESS TOUR:

The need for love and kindness, generosity and benevolence, has never been greater. Not in our lifetimes. During this time of COVID and systemic racism coming to the forefront,  I’ve felt the loss, the division, the fear and uncertainty, the illness, the injustices befalling our country and our communities. And I feel a call to action.

Many of you know that my culinary life started with a tour around the world. Meeting people and learning their recipes and stories along the way. Now is my time to give back. So, here I go! I am going to take a 6-week sabbatical from my restaurant life and hit the road. My plan is to do some good.

I am challenging others to offer random acts of kindness, and looking for donations, as well. Check out my gofundme page to learn more!

Leadership Through Fear

Leadership Through Fear

As I write this, I can barely believe that it’s almost the end of July. I, like many of us, have been living in a whirlwind since mid-March. Alternating between the reality that our world is forever changed and the simple state of business survival. I’m one of the lucky ones. I have a sustainable business model that can pivot to what is now required, but I’m not going to lie to you, some days are rough. I am trying to be a good leader for my, roughly 40 employees, but I see their fears and I have my own…

Fear of the unknown. Fear of getting sick or getting someone else sick. Fear about our families. Fear about the future.

It’s not how I imagined 2020.

RECIPE: Immunity Broth

RECIPE: Immunity Broth

This is a great soup to make eat during this time because we all need to boost our immunity. It is stocked with all antioxidants and anti-inflammation foods like garlic, ginger, shiitake mushrooms and spinach. You may not have cooked with fresh turmeric before, but I found some at Kroger. It’s also very filling and keeps me from snacking all day!

Performer Spotlight: DENISE ARRIBAS

Performer Spotlight: DENISE ARRIBAS

I met Denise watching her in the Atlanta theater scene and have always loved her energy. She helped us open the Decatur location and she worked on and off as a server over the years. We would love her to work full-time but she is too busy with her fantastic job at humorologies and her other passionate. I am beyond thrilled that she’s able to join us for All’s Fair in Love & Soup! Shining a light on DENISE ARRIBAS!
