Hi Friends!
Meg here, Jenny’s trusty sidekick on the second Kindness Tour! We’re hitting the road again in just two short weeks and we're beyond excited for this adventure.
Why you ask?
Well, the first trip was life changing, super fun, full of kindness and love and tears and laughter and more sewer dumps than I’d care to remember. Things blossomed out of that trip that Jenny and I are both continuing to nurture.
For me personally, it brought about The Giver’s Closet. My “Pay what you can” clothing store where 100% of the proceeds go straight back into my community, our community. In fact, Jenny and I have an event coming up this Saturday, April 17th, here in Atlanta. We’re teaming up with Jessica Soler of Salon Red for a “Pay what you can” event. Haircut, lunch, and a new outfit! All proceeds going back to our community. Wanna come? See the flyer below.
So, where was I?
Ah yes, Kindness Tour 2. We can’t wait to get out there and give more love, still at a safe distance, of course. And we can use your help. We’re sharing our itinerary as promised, and here’s why. What we learned on the first tour was that no matter how much we planned, the best stories, the best interactions came when we just asked people who they knew in the area that needed help. Those moments are the ones that Jenny and I remember most. They are the stories that we continue to tell.
We’d love to invite you all, the friends that have read about our journey, who have so generously donated to our adventure, and who want to do some good every day. Have a look at our first couple of stops. Our Kindness Route. Let us know if there is anyone, any organization, any family member, friend, establishment, business, farmer… well you get the picture. Anyone that could use a visit from us.
We travel from Atlanta to Collierville, TN, on Tuesday, April 27th and we’re happy to report that our plans for that stop are scheduled and are already in focus!
Next up:
4/28 we’re taking the 40 to Nashville and then continuing to Buffalo Valley/Smithfield TN on the 40
4/29 driving the 40 to Knoxville, TN
4/30 taking the 40 to the 81 to Marion, Virginia
5/1 switching from the 81 to the 66 to Washington, DC
Feel free to add your suggestion in the comments below or email Jenny at with any ideas you may have.
And of course, follow both of us on IG - @followingsouperjenny and @meggillentine - when we hit the road on April 27th. And if you are interested in donating, head over to our Gofundme page.
Thanks for your time. We appreciate you!
