Happy Year, Everyone! Now that 2020 is finally here, I want to share the date and information about the next SOUPER WALK!

On Saturday, March 14, 2020, I will be walking the 25-mile “Souper Jenny Trail” with goal of raising at least $20,000 for The Zadie Project.

What is the The Zadie Project?    The Zadie Project is a non-profit organization founded by Souper Jenny helping to feed and educate children, families and seniors affected by food insecurity in Atlanta. The Project currently, through community partners, distributes 500+ quarts of soup per week to those in need.

What’s the plan?   I am walking from one Souper Jenny location to the next, starting at our Roswell location 8AM, then arriving in Brookhaven around 12PM, Buckhead by 2PM, and finally will finish at the Westside location by 4PM…all in all, three “legs”, 25 miles, in 8 hours.

Want to WALK with ME??  Last year, we had lots of people interested in walking with me.  So, this year we are opening each leg of the walk to FIVE people.  If you are interested in being one of the 15 Zadie Walkers (three legs, five walkers each), email me and let me know 1. WHY you want to walk, 2. WHICH of the legs you’d like to walk (NOTE: you can only pick one leg…we have our reasons, so choose wisely), and 3. if you think you could raise $300.  Each walker will receive a t-shirt, a SJ gift card, and lunch at their ending location.

How can I donate?   You can go to the donate page on The Zadie Project website, or come in for lunch at any location and make a donation there.  Contribute $20, or more, at any location on March 14th, and receive a FREE cup of soup that day.  I would love donations of $25 - $1 per mile (or more if so inclined) with 100% going to The Zadie Project.  Don’t worry, I’m positive guy and am in decent shape for an “old guy,” so I will definitely complete the full distance!
