Performer Spotlight: ERIC MILLER
Eric started as a server at the original Souper Jenny in Buckhead 2005, and over time, his skill in operations and all things financial allowed me to create a CFO position just for him in 2013. The one constant? He’s always performed in our cabarets! Happy to have him out of the office and back on stage for All’s Fair in Love and Soup. But Eric, I do need you to get back to your desk immediately afterwards! :) Shining a spotlight on ERIC MILLER!
Why did you agree to perform?
I have been doing cabarets with Jenny for a lot of years. It just feels right.
What are you most looking forward to?
A great night of music that brings a great show of support for The Zadie Project.
Do you know what you are singing? Why did you choose this song?
I am writing a song to perform. It’s funny and goes with the love theme. At least it will once it is finished...
Funds raised from the cabaret will go and support The Zadie Project. Do you have any other history with the project? Is there anything about it’s mission that resonates with you?
On a professional level, I manage the finances for Souper Jenny and for Zadie, so I see the donations come in and how the money is spent. On a personal level, I have always felt that 'having' is intrinsically tied to 'giving'. I love that Jenny decided to put her means towards battling food insecurity and has invited us to join her as well!
Anything that you want to celebrate?
I think my wife mentioned it (she is also performing) but we are celebrating 16 years of marriage in a few weeks!
