DECEMBER 11TH AND IT'S 80 DEGREES?

posted Tuesday, December 11th at 9:54 a.m.

Ok people, what is going on here? How am I supposed to get in the holiday spirit, let alone the soup spirit when people are wearing shorts? I can feel myself going into a global warming depression!Let me just tell you that it's December and It's supposed to be cold. I should be making Lamb Stew and passing out hot cider on the side walk, not taking my 5th phone call asking if we have Gazpacho. (which we do by the way!)Those of you who are old time regulars know that in the past, I would have closed up shop and put a sign on the door saying we'd be back when it was cold. That's what my inner child wants. To pout and go to the movies until it snows. The grown up knows that people still want soup when it's warm out and that my employees still must be paid. (Don't think we don't close once in a while, when our spirit needs it)

All else is well in restaurant world. Nothing has broken this week and My staff is keeping the place cheerful.
I think a dose of retail therapy might help brighten up my world.
Happy last night of Hannukah!

Congrats for being a big girl and staying open. Happy Belated Hanukkah. In my dream last night Souper Jenny was either expanding or moving locations. Any truth to that?
