TEQUILA IS NOT MY FRIEND

There is a reason I have not written in the past week and the reason is simple. My father turned 80 this past Saturday and we had a big Levison Style Birthday Blow Out. We held the event like all important events in our lives, at Eclipse De Luna on Miami Circle. I have known the owner, James Ehrlich forever and he and his crew throw a great party.

I arrived early to rehearse the cabaret style show that the Souper Jenny girls along with Mitchell Anderson were putting on as the evening's entertainment. Having just finished a busy Thanksgiving week at the restaurant and hosting 50 people for Turkey Day, I figured I deserved that Icy cold shot of Tequila. The problem was that once I felt a bit more relaxed, the second and third shot seemed like a great idea! NOT A GOOD IDEA! I think I was pretty tipsy before the party even started. By the time we were to start singing I didn't have a care in the world and coudn't believe I remembered the words to my song, let alone sing it on key. Everyone insists that they couldn't tell my state until the very last song which I apparently kept starting over and over while a slideshow of my Father's life was showing.

It's Wednesday and I am just emerging from my house for the first time! Of Course I have vowed to never drink again.

Then again, Christmas is just around the corner...
